Extending The Service Life Of Induction Heating Coil (Contact Inter-power Induction Services)

Interpower Induction Services has full-time salesmen with years of induction heating coil experience on the road. They work directly with customers to develop comprehensive coil maintenance programs. Once such a program is in place, customers can simply ship damaged coils to one of our two coil repair facilities, and handle any details by phone.

The first thing IIS does when it receives a damaged coil is photograph the coil and make dimensioned sketches that are later converted to CAD drawings. (Seventy percent of the coils received are not accompanied by a drawing.) Because coils often are rebuilt more than once, having accurate dimensions for boltholes, rails, and other components shortens turnaround time.

The coil repair process involves disassembling the coil, inspecting all components, and replacing worn or damaged parts. We do not reuse relatively inexpensive components, like hoses, fitting, fasteners, and clamps, which often contribute to premature failure. Voltage, pressure, flow rates, and other parameters are checked throughout the rebuild process, again after manifolds are installed, again after castables are cured, and again after final coil assembly. When a coil leaves the IIS repair facility, it has passed more than a dozen individual quality inspections.
