Service Life Of Induction Heating Coil (Contact Inter-power Induction
Services) The first thing IIS does when
it receives a damaged coil is photograph the coil and make dimensioned
sketches that are later converted to CAD drawings. (Seventy percent of the
coils received are not accompanied by a drawing.) Because coils often are
rebuilt more than once, having accurate dimensions for bolt holes, rails,
and other components shortens turnaround time. The coil repair process involves disassembling the coil, inspecting all components, and replacing worn or damaged parts. We do not reuse relatively inexpensive components, like hoses, fitting, fasteners, and clamps, which often contribute to premature failure. Voltage, pressure, flow rates, and other parameters are checked throughout the rebuild process, again after manifolds are installed, again after castables are cured, and again after final coil assembly. When a coil leaves the IIS repair facility, it has passed more than a dozen individual quality inspections. |
